- Zoom
Founded by Eric Yuan on 11 April 2011. Preferred by schools, corporates, and people, Zoom's daily number of participants has grown to 300 million. It provides video conferencing, and online chat services through a cloud-based person-person software platform and is used for teleconferencing, telecommuting, distance education, and maintaining social relations.

Security- A number of issues related to Zoom have attracted public attention, known as call hijacking or "zoom bombing". Around 5 lakhs of data was leaked to the dark web by Zoom.
Devices and access- zooms allow a meeting of 100 participants with 40 minutes time restriction, bit unlimited time for one on one meeting. Zoom webinar is quite popular in lockdown.
- Google Meets
Founded by Google in the year 2017. Google recently rebranded its Google Hangout Meets app to Google Meets. The app is fully secured as it comes from Google.

Security- it is compliant with IETF security. There is a unique encryption key for every meeting and for every person joining the meeting. One needs to pay attention to that, when you join the meeting the audio is through the telephone network and it is not encrypted.
Devices and access- anyone with a Google account can create the meeting link and the link is sent to the participants to join the meeting. The maximum number of participants is restricted to 100 with 60 minutes of training.

Devices and access- anyone with Microsoft 365 available on iOS, Android, Windows desktop app, can use it. It allows the audience to limit up to 10,00 with four hours time limit.
- Skype
Founded by Scandinavian developers in 2003 and later acquired by Microsoft in 2011Microsoft owned Skype revealed on 27 April that the people using the app Skype have surged up 70% in a month to 40 million people. Users can blur their background and do screen sharing for presentations and demos.
